Man’s first-time Oz Lotto ticket scores $20 million win

A Sydney man who bought his first-ever Oz Lotto ticket on a hunch has taken home $20 million.
The Newtown man was the only division one winner in the Oz Lotto draw on November 4, but did not check his ticket for a fortnight.
“I forgot to check this ticket and only remembered today. I had it kept in a drawer and forgot all about it,” he told The Lott.

“You know what, this is my first Oz Lotto ticket. Something just told me to play this game.
“I usually play Powerball, but not all the time. But then a few weeks ago, I was getting a Powerball ticket and I thought I’d just get one for Oz Lotto too – something I’ve never done before.”
The man said he would use the winnings to buy a house and potentially fund his retirement.

“This is going to take a while to sink in,” he said.
The winning entry was purchased at Broadway Newsagency in the Broadway Shopping Centre in Glebe.
Store owner Chirayu Oza said he was thrilled to hear his mystery winner had finally been united with his prize.
“I wish our winner all the best. I hope this makes a life-changing difference to them and the people around them,” he said.
The winning numbers for the November 4 draw were 21, 17, 43, 25, 12, 18 and 14, while the supplementary numbers were 15, 42 and 24.
