Loudoun County firefighter, 1 other hurt after house catches fire in Leesburg

Heavy smoke was seen billowing in a Leesburg neighborhood Saturday afternoon after a house caught fire.
In a post on the X platform just after 1:10 p.m., the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Service said crews were on the scene of a fire in the 1900 block of Kipheart Drive.
Firefighters had extinguished the flames and were working to perform “salvage and overhaul operations” at the home.
As a result of the blaze, officials said two people had minor injuries, including a firefighter. Medics took the firefighter to the hospital for treatment, while the other person was evaluated at the scene.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the house to catch fire.
