Lindsay Clancy case in court today. What will be discussed

Lindsay Clancy, the 35-year-old Duxbury woman accused in the 2023 deaths of her three young children, will appear before a Plymouth Superior Court judge via Zoom on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Her attorney, Kevin Reddington, has filed a motion to seek another delay in the trial as well as a change in venue.

The trial, which has already been rescheduled twice, is currently set for Feb 9, 2026. Reddington argues that there are still several pre-trial matters to see to, including an evaluation of Clancy by government doctors and consultations with a toxicologist and psychopharmacologist. The request is to push the date to at least May 11, 2026.

In a separate motion, Reddington points to extensive media coverage as the reason to relocate the trial to Suffolk County Superior Court in Boston. The prosecution opposes changing the venue.

Also to be discussed at Tuesday’s hearing will be the logistics of transporting Clancy to the courthouse. She has been paralyzed from the waist down since authorities say she jumped from a second-story window at her home after she strangled her children – 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan – in January 2023. Clancy has been held at Tewksbury Hospital.

Clancy has pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder and strangulation.
