Broadchurch, the crime drama starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman, is now streaming on Netflix. With a tantalising mystery and a stacked cast, this series is an ideal binge-watch over the next few weeks. After originally airing on ITV during its initial run, Broadchurch has landed a new streaming home in the UK after coming to Netflix, with all 24 instalments being added to the streamer today.
The crime drama sees the respective pair portray Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller, with the action being set in a fictional seaside town in the county of Dorset.
The first season, released in 2013, depicts the investigation into the murder of 11-year-old Danny Latimer, with the 2015 follow-up centring on its aftermath. The final season, released in 2017, sees Alec and Ellie look into a sexual assault in the town.
In addition to Tennant and Colman, the stacked cast for the first season of the crime drama includes Jodie Whittaker, Vicky McClure, Andrew Buchan, Jonathan Bailey, Alfred Enoch, Arthur Darvill, David Bradley and Will Mellor.

The second season saw big-name additions in the shape of Charlotte Rampling, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Eve Myles, while the final season saw Julie Hesmondhalgh, Georgina Campbell and Lenny Henry join the cast.

Other critics were also full of praise for the crime drama, with the series currently possessing an impressive average approval rating of 92% across its three seasons on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Times wrote in its review of season 3: “Broadchurch still succeeds in using its mystery as way of delving into deeper emotions.”
Of the first season, Collider wrote: “Full of hope and love even in the wake of tragedy. It’s not just a good place to end, but an excellent place to start.”
