FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2025/26: Lucas Pinheiro Braathen claims historic first World Cup win for Brazil with victory in Levi

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen claimed an historic first FIS Alpine Ski World Cup win for Brazil with a sensational victory in the men’s slalom in Levi.
The Oslo-born alpine ski racer had won five previous World Cup events, as well as the overall slalom title in 2023, but all under the flag of his birth country, Norway.
Pinheiro Braathen then retired in October 2023, before returning last year to represent his mother’s native country, Brazil.
The 25-year-old finished on the podium five times last season, but his dream was to win a World Cup for his new nation – something he achieved in style on Sunday (16 November) in Finland.
