After touching down in the jungle over the weekend, ex-Lionesses star and BBC presenter Alex Scott is quickly forming close bonds with her fellow I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmates, as this year’s contestants begin to share stories about their lives back home.
The first two episodes of the new series of the popular ITV show have already seen celebrities like Jack Osbourne and Lisa Riley discuss the loss of their parents, and producers are hopeful that Scott will offer some insight into her personal life, particularly her relationship with chart-topping singer Jess Glynne.
Arsenal legend Scott, who also earned 140 caps for England during her football career, is now a renowned pundit and presenter, as well as one half of a new power couple, having made her relationship with Glynne public last year. The pair sparked rumours that they were together months earlier, after being spotted at several events – including parties and award ceremonies – together.
They were also caught sharing a kiss while walking through London together and, despite efforts to keep the relationship private, later confirmed they were an item. With their relationship seemingly growing stronger, fans are wondering if wedding bells might soon be ringing for the former football star and the I’ll Be There singer.
Just a few months before hinting at her relationship with Glynne, Scott – who was single at the time – had been quite open about what she wanted from a relationship and her thoughts on marriage. In a 2023 interview with Grazia, she expressed her desire to find love again, but stated that she needed two things from a potential partner – an “instant connection” and the ability to have an easy chat with them.

“I am single, but I’m ready to mingle… I struggle with apps,” she confessed. “For me, it’s all about connection, that instant connection with someone, and conversation, and then I’m like ‘Oh, wow.'”.
When asked about marriage and children, the now-41 year old said: “I would love that, but equally, if that’s not the case then it’s not the case. I’m going to be 40 in two years. I actually forget that.”
Scott and Glynne started dating in 2023
Before heading into the jungle, Scott told the Daily Mail that she was preparing for the longest period of time away from Glynne since they started dating, which she believes will be a challenge for both of them.
“It’s going to be a test for both of us,” she admitted, revealing what she would miss most. “Her cooking pasta for me is absolutely everything. Those quiet moments when your life’s a hundred miles per hour, just coming home and she loves to cook and we love to sit and have a glass of wine.
“I’ll most probably be watching football in the background. But yeah, I’m definitely going to miss that, especially when I’m so hungry. And that’s most probably all I’m going to be thinking about is ‘please, can I just have Jessica’s pasta right now?'”.
On her initial decision to keep her relationship with Glynne under wraps, Scott explained: “From the start, we were very guarded and private because we wanted to get to know each other and figure out ourselves before it was out there for the world.”
