Huge UK pop star stuns on ARIAs red carpet

This year’s ARIA Awards are about to kick off at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion, with stars now starting to arrive on the red carpet.
Tim Blackwell and Concetta Caristo will host this year’s ceremony, with performances from the likes of Alex Lahey, Anna Ryan, Baker Boy, G Flip, Janet English, Keli Holiday, Kita Alexander, Missy Higgins, Neve Van Boxsel, Thelma Plum, Touch Sensitive, You Am I and Young Franco.
And joining them on stage will be one big name international visitor, Olivia Dean.
British soul singer is suddenly one of the biggest new pop stars in the world: She’s got five songs inside the ARIA top 40 this week, including Man I Need at number two, kept off the top spot by Taylor Swift.
But first – the red carpet …
Special awards that will be handed out at today’s ceremony include Aussie rock legends You And I being inducted into the ARIAs Hall of Fame, and DJ Dom Dolla receiving the Global Impact Award.
The night’s biggest award, Album of the Year, is a female-led category this year, with Amyl and the Sniffers, Missy Higgins, Thelma Plum and Ninajriachi all in contention alongside Rüfüs Du Sol.
Indie self-taught producer Ninajriachi has scored this year’s most nominations, eight, for her debut album I Love My Computer.
The 2025 ARIA Awards stream live from 5pm AEDT on Paramount+. The red carpet coverage airs on 10 at 7pm AEDT, with the ceremony to air after Big Brother.
