For those who did not take the journey into Hell October 20 at the Majestic Theatre, Hazbin Hotel: Live on Broadway is available for streaming on Amazon Prime November 17.
Produced by award winning RadicalMedia, the event hosted by series lead Erika Henningsen staged performances from the cast of the show’s music from both seasons one and two. Performers included Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christian Borle, Jessica Vosk, Jeremy Jordan, and Krystina Alabado, with special appearances by Stephanie Beatriz, Kimiko Glenn, Vivienne Medrano, Sam Haft, and Richard Horvitz.
The animated adult series follows the princess of Hell, Charlie Morningstar (Henningsen), as she sets about fulfilling her seemingly impossible dream of opening a hotel to rehabilitate sinners. With the help of her devoted manager and girlfriend, Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz), and their reluctant first patron, pornographic film actor Angel Dust (Blake Roman), she’s determined to make her dream become a reality.
Guest stars on season one included Tony winner Christian Borle as Vox, Darren Criss as Saint Peter, Jeremy Jordan as Lucifer Morningstar, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Carmilla Carmine, Patina Miller as Sera, Jessica Vosk as Lute, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, and Joel Perez.
Released October 29, season two continued the animated show’s sprawling storyline, featuring original music and lyrics from Sam Haft and Emmy-nominated Andrew Underberg, who work alongside series creator and animator Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano.
The season two soundtrack will be released November 19, and is available to preorder now.
