Laura Loomer Warns GOP of ‘Nazi Problem’ and Impending Blue Wave in Midterms

Laura Loomer, a prominent far-right conspiracy theorist and self-described Trump supporter, has expressed deep skepticism regarding the Republican Party’s future in the upcoming midterm elections and beyond. She warned that if the GOP fails to confront what she labels a “Nazi problem” within its ranks, a significant backlash could lead to a Democratic victory in the midterms and the possibility of a President Gavin Newsom in 2028.

In a recent post on X, Loomer pointed to troubling trends among certain conservative circles, citing incidents such as “Gen Z glorifying Hitler” and performing Nazi salutes on TikTok, as well as controversial comments made by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Loomer highlighted Carlson’s remarks at a memorial for Charlie Kirk, in which he implied that those who were responsible for Jesus’s death were similarly responsible for silencing Kirk.

Loomer has urged GOP leadership to take decisive action, stating, “I hope the GOP is ready to lose the midterms in a landslide,” and attributing the impending losses to the party’s refusal to tackle the rising tide of antisemitism and extremist rhetoric. She stated unequivocally that such negligence would leave the GOP with “nobody to blame but themselves.”

The situation escalated during a recent event where Carlson invited prominent far-right figure and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes onto his podcast, an action that drew condemnation from various quarters, including remarks from Senator Ted Cruz, who described silence in the face of such extremist views as complicity.

Despite the criticism directed at Carlson, former President Donald Trump downplayed the controversy, asserting that he could not dictate who Carlson chooses to interview. Trump, who has faced his own share of backlash for remarks deemed antisemitic, including his use of the term “Shylock,” has not distanced himself from Carlson’s actions.

Loomer, maintaining her strong stance, described the current state of the GOP as lacking “moral clarity” and expressed her belief that continued engagement with extreme ideologies could prove detrimental to the party’s success. She predicted that the Republicans’ inability to confront these issues may lead to losses not only this year but potentially through to 2028.

In a curious twist, Loomer also charged that “Muslims on the Left” are embracing the GOP’s situational crisis, demonstrating her consistent pattern of inflammatory rhetoric across various subjects. As the political landscape continues to evolve, Loomer’s statements underscore a growing rift within the Republican Party and highlight broader concerns over the influence of extremist ideologies in mainstream conservatism.
