Height: 200cm
Position: Ruck/Forward
Recruited from: Calder Cannons

An athletic 201cm ruck-forward, Duff-Tytler brings elite mobility and overhead marking to the Eagles. A former junior basketball star who represented Australia at the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup, he committed to football and quickly rose through the Victorian pathway.

Duff-Tytler starred for Calder Cannons in the Coates Talent League, averaging 20 disposals and 17 hit outs, and earned All-Australian honours at the Under 18 Championships.

A taste of VFL football with Essendon showcased his versatility, kicking three goals in a forward role.

Duff-Tytler impressed at the Draft Combine with top-10 finishes in the 20m sprint and 2km time trial. His athleticism and ability to impact contests make him a key piece of West Coast’s future.

“Cooper is a big key position player who can also play as a ruck, he is a really versatile guy,” Head of List Management and Recruiting Matt Clarke said.

“He was outstanding at the Draft Combine, running just over six minutes for the 2km time trial at 201cm, which is incredible.

“He also clocked sub-three seconds for the 20m sprint, that’s a rare combination of size and athleticism.

“What really stands out for us is his follow-up work at ground level. He’s super clean, creative with his hands, and kicks the ball really well. He fits the modern prototype for a tall.”
