LeBron James becomes first player in NBA history to play 23 seasons, surpasses Reggie Miller for 6th on al

LeBron James has become the first player in NBA history to play 23 seasons, adding another milestone to his legendary career. Entering his 23rd season, after missing almost a full month of the campaign reportedly due to sciatica, LeBron continues to defy expectations with his longevity, production, and durability.
The Los Angeles Lakers star also surpassed Reggie Miller, while playing against Utah Jazz, to claim sixth place on the league’s all-time three-point field goals list, further cementing his status as one of basketball’s most complete scorers. His latest achievements highlight not only his sustained excellence but also his unprecedented ability to evolve his game over two decades, keeping him firmly among the NBA’s elite.
The 40-year-old superstar sat out the first 14 games of the season due to nerve pain in his back and lower right side. In his absence, the Lakers went 10-4 and currently hold fourth place in the Western Conference. According to AFP, the four-time NBA champion and four-time MVP practiced with the Lakers on Monday and reported no pain or soreness following his first game-style workout with the team since last season’s playoffs.

LEBRON RULES OUT 2028 LOS ANGELES OLYMPICS RETURN
LeBron has ruled out competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and teammate Stephen Curry says he is also highly unlikely to take part. The two joined forces in a star-studded Team USA squad that captured gold at the Paris Olympics last year, defeating host nation France in a memorable final.
However, James – who will be 43 when the next Games arrive – says a reunion isn’t happening. Speaking on the ‘Mind the Game’ podcast, released Tuesday, the Lakers star told co-host Steve Nash that he intends to enjoy the Olympics from a distance rather than on the court.
“You already know my answer,” James told Nash when asked if there was any chance of him returning for one last Olympic hurrah, reported AFP.
“Don’t even ask. I will be watching from Cabo… I’m done.”
