It’s weeks until the National Signing Day, but Dylan Raiola’s quarterback brother, Dayton Raiola, has reopened his recruitment after he recently decommitted from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The three-star quarterback committed to the program in September 2024 as he chose Nebraska over Charlotte and Appalachian State.

1) Appalachian State
They were one of the schools Dayton Raiola considered before he made his Nebraska decision. Now that he is available again, it figures they would reevaluate the situation and make a run for it.
Dayton Raiola would like going here because there’s a chance he gets a starting role in here as compared to any other Power Five program.
2) Charlotte
Charlotte, like Appalachian State, would also monitor and make a push to attain Raiola’s commitment. Here, Raiola will get early playing time without much expectations and pressure.
3) Georgia
The Georgia Bulldogs is the biggest program in this list. Well, playing time won’t come easily under head coach Kirby Smart as the competition is always all-time high.
The reason the Bulldogs are in this list is because of their strong ties to his brother, Dylan Raiola. Like his brother, Dayton also went to Buford High School (Georgia). The Bulldogs were named one of the top four schools that were in on Dylan Raiola. Now there’s a wild chance they may get their hands on his brother Dayton.
4) Alabama
Just like Georgia, even Alabama was in the running for Dylan’s commitment a couple of years ago. They can now try to lock in his brother Dayton, who is a 6-foot-1, 225-pounder, ranking No. 99 quarterback in the nation and No. 158 in Georgia for the 2026 cycle.
5) Nebraska
While it’s unknown at the moment why Dayton Raiola would leave Nebraska at just last minute but if nothing wrong has happened between him and the program, the two parties can reunite.
There are deep family ties of Raiola’s family with the Huskers.
Father Dominic Raiola was a standout Husker. Uncle Donovan Raiola is on Nebraska’s coaching staff, and their sister, Taylor, works in Nebraska’s recruiting department.
