Global raised more than one point two million pounds at its charity gala last night.
Global’s Make Some Noise Night returned to London last night, bringing together the group’s star presenters with performances from Adam Lambert, Cat Burns and Craig David.
The annual fundraiser, supported by Barclaycard, took place at The Londoner hotel in Leicester Square, where four hundred guests helped generate a total of £1,203,910 for Make Some Noise, the grant-giving charity that funds vital projects delivered by small, local organisations across the UK.
People experiencing bereavement, domestic abuse, homelessness, loneliness and food poverty are supported by the charity, with all donations from the night going directly to front-line projects.
Many of Global’s biggest names hosted the event, including Amanda Holden, Kate Garraway, Jordan North, Chris Stark, Johnny Vaughan, James O’Brien and Jamie Theakston, who spoke movingly about his own experience of cancer and the importance of community support in difficult times.
The evening also featured a standout performance from BAFTA nominee Lucy, the blind and neurodivergent pianist who won Channel 4’s The Piano, and who was previously supported by one of the charities funded by Make Some Noise.
Lucy’s appearance drew a powerful response from guests and highlighted the real-life impact of the charity’s work.

Global presenters representing Heart, Capital, Smooth, LBC and Radio X attended alongside Global’s podcast hosts Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall from The News Agents.
Suzanne Ryder Richardson, Director of Global Goodness and CEO of Make Some Noise, said this year’s event demonstrated how urgently communities need support and thanked donors for helping the charity deliver essential physical and emotional care for people across the UK.
Simon Pitts, Global’s Group CEO, praised the generosity of guests, performers and partners, saying the success of the night shows the heart and spirit that make the organisation unique.
