BBC Morning Live’s Gethin Jones found himself in an awkward spot as he suffered a blunder live on-air.
During Tuesday’s (November 18) episode of BBC Breakfast, hosts Jon Kay and Sally Nugent made a return to our TV screens as they presented the day’s top stories from the iconic red sofa.
Halfway through the show, the duo were keen to find out was to come on BBC Morning Live, which airs straight after Breakfast.
Speaking to viewers at home, Sally went on to say: “Now Morning Live follows Breakfast on BBC One this morning. Let’s find out what they have for us this morning, it’s Gethin and Kim. Morning.”
The camera then cut to the Morning Live studio, where Gethin and Kym Marsh could be seen sitting on sofas opposite each other.

Gethin wasted no time and went straight in and gave viewers a glimpse of what they can expect from the show today.
However it was one moment that left the TV presenter red-faced as he suffered an awkward autocue blunder
While discussing a particular segment, a picture of a children’s book popped up on screen as Kym pointed out: “Now look at this, This might seem like an ordinary book but one tiny typo meant that it sold for £350k.”
She added: “Bargain Hunts Kate Bliss has the trade secrets to help you cash in on treasures you might not even know you might have.”

Gethin then accidentally gave the wrong time as he said: “We will see you at 10:30.”
Quickly addressing the mistake, he reached his hands out and shouted: “It’s a typo, a typo. It’s 9:30.”
Everyone burst out laughing as Sally pointed out: “You weren’t just reading the words, where you? Come on.”
Gethin joked: “What do you mean words? This show isn’t scripted.”o
Jon jumped in: “We thought ‘oh no we have to do another hour’. We will see you at 9:30, don’t be late Kym and Geth.”
Elsewhere on BBC Breakfast, Sally and Jon were joined by Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas, who opened up on her mum’s “debilitating” illness.

The professional dancer has been caring for her mum Audrey Rich, 88, who is living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, since she was diagnosed in 2022.
In a heartfelt moment, she admitted: “This isn’t something you can see so with my mum I’ve witnessed her choking, I’ve been out with her when she is out of breath and of course she lives with me.
She went on: ‘It’s quite sad, it’s debilitating and of course it’s never going to get any better so it’s about finding a way to help her care for that and of course keeping her safe from any of the flus going around.”
BBC Morning Live airs weekdays from 9:30am on BBC One and iPlayer
