Eddie Kadi, star of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, has admitted that the closest he’s come to jungle life is “a walk through Kew Gardens”. Therefore, it was hardly surprising when he had a meltdown during his latest Bushtucker trial, aptly named A-Scare-ium.
In the trial, Eddie can be seen squirming in a tank filled with water, trying to ignore the various creepy crawlies and creatures, including snakes, that are added into the tank with him. However, the distractions proved too much, and he struggled to collect any stars, which would have secured a decent meal for his campmates.
At one point, he exclaims: ” Oh my God, I’ve lost the key!” This prompts hosts Ant and Dec to react in disappointment, even stepping in to help him complete the task.
Ant advises: “Right you’ve got to look for the chest with a turtle on it. Two minutes gone and now there’s snakes in there. He can’t catch a break,” reports the Mirror.
Dec adds: “Why don’t you work on another one and get down there?”.
Eddie shares a camp with a variety of famous faces, including Ruby Wax, Alex Scott, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Shona McGarty and rapper Aitch.

As a reptile jumps onto his shoulder, causing him to scream in fear, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly watch in disbelief. They even attempt to assist him, with Dec suggesting Eddie should “work on another” in an effort to secure some stars.
Before entering the jungle, Eddie disclosed that his eight year old daughter was his motivation for joining this year’s I’m A Celeb line-up.
He told TV Guide: “Raising a daughter is a beautiful thing, and my daughter is very excited. It’s going to be a story for her every single day. My daughter will be the proudest in the world if I am crowned King of the Jungle.”
Without any preparation ahead of his appearance on the ITV programme, Eddie told the publication: “I have never camped outside before. The closest thing I have come to this is a walk in Kew Gardens. I have done a zip line, but no bungee jumping or sky diving. It’s going to be the first of many things!”.
According to his close friend and I’m A Celeb veteran, Eddie could depart the jungle at any point if he finds the experience overwhelming.
Speaking to The Sun, Babatunde Alishe said: “Eddie confessed to me how scared he is of the whole experience and I was shocked.I’m scared of frogs, snakes, spiders and thought Eddie was the brave one, but he confessed to me that he’s really, really scared of ALL the things. I’m going to be as surprised as everybody else about how he’s going to react to things. So I’m kind of looking forward to that.”
