The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

Poor, innocent Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) thinks he’s struck gold with Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) in Emmerdale.

Bob made it clear he was interested in Celia not long after she was introduced to us. His efforts to flirt saw him make innuendos about items in the café and politely ask Celia out for a drink…to which she said no.

But when Celia’s real identity was revealed, it wasn’t long until she began to reciprocate the charm with Bob, and he’s fallen right under her spell.

Celia runs a farm near Butlers, but the last thing she is ever seen doing is getting her hands dirty and assisting in looking after the animals on her land.

The character is currently leading an operation that’s seen vulnerable young people and adults exploited in a variety of different ways. For the majority of this year, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) have been dealing drugs for her, with April also being forced into sex work as well.

Last week, we learnt that Celia’s farm runs as a result of her forcing people to work as her slaves. Two of these victims are Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) and Anya (Alia Al-Shabibi).

In order to prevent April’s family from growing suspicious about what she’s up to, a plan was orchestrated that saw her move out of the family home and into the B&B, which is owned by Bob.

And to stop him from getting worried about April, Celia has chosen to lead Bob down a path that makes him believe they’re developing a strong connection.

Yesterday, April called Bob after getting arrested. April was found with drugs and when the officer questioned her, he outright asked if she was working for someone.

Amid her fear that her family would be in danger if she revealed all, April failed to confirm the truth. Afterwards, she begged Bob not to tell Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).

Celia was frustrated in today’s instalment because she was, once again, fixing April’s mistakes. She chose to manipulate Bob into revealing all about April’s arrest, and pushed him to make the decision she wanted.

And it worked.

To April’s relief, Bob confirmed that he wasn’t going to tell Marlon, but things would change if something like this happened again.

As Bob headed off, Celia took the opportunity to remind April that she is in complete control of her life. April reiterated that nothing like this would happen in the future, but Celia told her that actions speak louder than words.

Just as she left, Celia warned April and told her that she’s lost her final chance.

She’s already been through so much – what will April go through next?
