Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack has remembered his dad and spoken about their shock after his death during an episode of I’m A Celebrity. The star’s son added how his dad would’ve been “so supportive” of his stint in the jungle, as he spoke about how he was navigating his own grief.

The rock legend’s cause of death was confirmed several weeks following his passing. The Black Sabbath legend died on July 22, aged 76, with his wife Sharon and their children by his side.

During the final years of his life, Ozzy had been openly struggling with various health conditions, yet remained determined to take to the stage at Villa Park for what would be his last performance just days before his death. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.

His death certificate explained how the Prince of Darkness experienced an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (joint causes). His job was recorded as “rock legend, songwriter and performer.”

An acute myocardial infarction occurs when blood flow to the heart becomes blocked, typically by a blood clot, causing damage to the cardiac muscle.

Warning signs may include chest discomfort, such as pressure, heaviness, tightness or squeezing, pain radiating to other parts of the body including the arm, jaw, neck, back and abdomen, dizziness, perspiration, difficulty breathing and general malaise, reports the Mirror.

Air ambulance paramedics worked for two hours attempting to resuscitate Ozzy after being called to his residence. During Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Ozzy’s son, Jack, became visibly upset whilst discussing his late father.

Speaking to Lisa Riley, Jack said: “It was definitely a shock. I mean, we knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock, I mean, we didn’t know it would be that quick… It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, ‘Alright, I’m done.'”.

Jack became visibly emotional when the Emmerdale actress asked what his father would think of his appearance on the ITV programme. “He’d be so supportive of this,” he remarked whilst wiping away his tears.

Whilst sitting in the Bush Telegraph, away from his campmates, Jack discussed his devastating loss, stating: “I’m still navigating it all, it’s been three, nearly four months, and it’s still pretty fresh.”

Jack has received support from his mum, Sharon, and sister, Kelly, to head to the jungle – with the well-known family closely following his journey on the hit programme. He admitted that leaving his family, who are still grieving, will prove exceptionally challenging for him.

“It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind,” Jack said.

He continued: “I have got lots of kids, my wife, and my family still in the wake of my dad passing. It is going to be difficult, that is for sure. It’s not the longest amount of time I’ve been away from them. I’ve gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone.

“I still had access to one, and I was able to make calls home. It’s going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud.”

The reality television personality only committed to the show a mere ten days before flying out to Australia.

He explained: “It’s an absolute commitment, but the real reason why it is popular is people sit at home saying, ‘could I do that?’, so I think a lot of why I’ve said ‘yes’ is the intrigue and how would I survive that? I am very nervous though!”.

Announcing that Ozzy had passed away in July, a family statement, issued from his home town, read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Looking back on his final performance, Ozzy’s Black Sabbath bandmate, Geezer Butler, revealed how the rock icon was “frail” but “thrilled” to be able to perform for his devoted fans, who had stood by him throughout his career.

I’m A Celebrity airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
