Why Arc Raiders is down?

According to reports, there is a chance that the servers are melting due to the influx of players given the game has managed to increase its player count over the past few weekends since launch. While many have taken to social media to complain about the outage, there has been no update as to its cause yet. Nor has Arc Raiders issued any statement. This major outage has just come after the company posted that its game has been nominated for Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards.
