I’m A Celebrity star Ruby Wax caused a stir after making a huge mistake on Wednesday (November 19).
The 72-year-old comedy icon is amongst ten celebrity contestants who’ve traded their comfortable lifestyles for three weeks in the Australian wilderness.
Ruby has already faced a hectic start to her jungle experience, having endured a terrifying trial with her head trapped in a box full of snakes, before tackling a gruesome eating challenge alongside Angry Ginge.
The chaos continued in Wednesday night’s episode of the popular ITV show, as the comedian made a costly blunder in camp.
Upon waking, Ruby noticed the fire had died out during the night, prompting her to rekindle it ahead of the breakfast preparations, reports the Express.

But when breakfast was eventually served, the celebrities were far from pleased with the overcooked rice and beans that had been left on the heat for far too long.
“I felt like I was eating a rock!” Eddie Kadi declared, while Martin Kemp groaned: “Eugh, that’s rough!”
Lisa Riley echoed their sentiments, commenting: “It’s so dry.”
Discussion quickly shifted to identifying the person responsible, with Ruby remaining silent about her role in the kitchen disaster. She later confessed in the Bush Telegraph: “I think it was me, I put the rice down but then I forgot to get it off. That’s my fault.”
Matters deteriorated further when Ruby discovered a lengthy strand of hair in her portion, yet she still refrained from admitting her mistake.

“Let’s find the DNA and we’ll find out who screwed up the rice,” she quipped.
However, Ruby later chose to “fess up” to some of her fellow campmates, revealing to Ginge, Aitch and Lisa: “I think I put it on the fire.”
Ruby went on to explain that she hadn’t considered it her duty to remove the rice from the heat. Upon discovering the identity of the culprit, Aitch jested that he would inform everyone, whilst Ginge shook his head in disbelief.
This wasn’t the sole kitchen controversy in camp, as Kelly Brook became visibly upset last night following Jack Osbourne’s remarks about her potato-cutting technique.
“I’m so sorry, Jack, if I’m coming at you and if I’m cutting potatoes wrong, but honestly, it’s only coming from a place where I just want to help,” she said through tears.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
