Steelers Urged To Sign 7,987-Yard WR To Help Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers did not make a trade for a wide receiver at the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 4, but they did sign veteran receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad.
Valdes-Scantling may not be the only experienced receiver the Steelers look to sign this season. Bleacher Report’s Julia Stumbaugh identified potential landing spots for veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., with Pittsburgh noted as a viable option.
“The franchise has reportedly been looking to improve its depth ahead of Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson, but didn’t add a receiver at the trade deadline,” Stumbaugh wrote on Tuesday.
“The Steelers are in urgent need of more postseason offense in order to win their first playoff game since the 2016 season. That could open up an opportunity for Beckham should Pittsburgh decide to add depth down the stretch.”
Beckham has not seen the field this season, but the NFL reinstated him on Tuesday following the completion of a six-game suspension due to a PED violation.

The 33-year-old receiver has played 10 seasons in the NFL, amassing 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns across 119 games.
Beckham last took the field for the Miami Dolphins in 2024, appearing in nine games and totaling just 55 receiving yards.
There’s a possibility that Beckham may not have much left to offer, but it wouldn’t hurt for the Steelers to bring him on board and see what he can still contribute.
