(Gray News) – From grocery stores to retailers and more, here’s a list of what will be open and closed on Thanksgiving Day 2025.
Grocery stores:
- Aldi – All ALDI stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, according to the company’s website.
- Costco – Stores will be closed on Thanksgiving, according to the company’s website.
- Dollar General – Most stores will be open. Hours vary by location so please so please call ahead.
- Family Dollar – Stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Find local hours here.
- Harris Teeter – Stores will be open; however, stores will close at 2 p.m.
- Lidl – Stores will be closed on Thanksgiving.
- Kroger – Stores will be open but close early at 5 pm, according to the company’s website.
- Publix – All Publix stores will be closed on Thanksgiving.
- Sam’s Club – All stores will be closed, according to the company’s website.
- Sprouts – will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving, according to the company’s website.
- Target – Stores will be closed, according to the company’s website.
- Trader Joe’s – All stores will be closed, according to the company’s website.
- Walgreens – most locations will be closed, except for 24-hour locations.
- Walmart – Stores will be closed and will reopen on Black Friday.

- Bass Pro Shops – Bass Pro Shops will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Belk – All stores will be closed.
- Best Buy – Stores will be closed, according to the company’s website
- BJ’s warehouses – Stores will be closed, the company said in a news release on Oct. 30.
- Home Depot & Lowe’s – All Stores will be closed.
- Nordstrom – All stores will be closed.
- T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods – All stores will be closed.
- REI – All stores will be closed.
- IKEA – All stores will be closed.
- Sephora – All stores will be closed.
- Ulta – All stores will be closed.
Restaurants/Fast Food:
- Arby’s – Many locations will be operating on but the hours will vary by location.
- Applebee’s – Some, but not all, locations are expected to be open. It’s best to call ahead.

- Burger King – Most locations will be open. Hours vary by location, so please call ahead.
- Cheesecake Factory – All locations will be closed, except for two locations in Maryland and Las Vegas.
- Chick-fil-A – All locations will be closed, according to the company’s website.
