Warmer temperatures, rainy conditions in Memphis-area this weekend before Thanksgiving

Memphis, don’t let the warm temperatures this weekend fool you; winter is still on the way.

Temperatures this upcoming weekend for Memphis are expected to be somewhat warmer, but taper off cooler for next week as Thanksgiving approaches, according to the forecast put out by the National Weather Service in Memphis.

“Warm temperatures are expected through at least Friday, with cooler temperatures thereafter into next week. Rain chances return for late week, and again early next week,” NWS said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Nov. 19.

Rain showers or thunderstorms are expected to pop up throughout the weekend. Nov. 21 has the highest likelihood of rain, but all throughout the weekend, there is some probability of rain.

Here is the weekend weather forecast from the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Friday weather

Nov. 21 will have showers in the morning with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs for the day will be in the mid-70s with a 90% chance of rain.

Friday night has a chance of thunderstorms in the evening. There is a 50% chance of rain. Temperature lows will be in the upper 50s.

Saturday weather

Nov. 22 will be mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers in the morning. Temperature highs for the day will be in the lower 70s.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers after midnight. Temperature lows will be around 50.

Sunday weather

Nov. 23 will be partly sunny with a 20% chance of showers. Temperature highs will be in the upper 60s.

Sunday night will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the evening and after midnight. Temperature lows will be around 50.

Monday weather

Nov. 24 will be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers. Temperature highs will be in the mid-60s.

Monday night will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperature lows will be in the lower 50s with a 50% chance of rain.
