Standing at just shy of 200cm, Emmett is described as a mobile tall with strong aerial abilities and clean hands.
His end to 2024 at the Oakleigh Chargers caught the attention of clubs, with a four-goal effort in one game, 28 disposals and two goals the next week and then 22 disposals and a goal the week after that.
While he is still developing his ruck craft, the 18-year-old impressed against Coburg VFL this year, registering 15 disposals, five marks and a goal while playing a mix of ruck-forward minutes.
The 18-year-old also had a taste of the AFL environment invited to train with Richmond during the pre-season this year.
An all-round natural athlete, the former rower showed his elite aerobic capacity with a time of 6:07 for the 2km time trial at the National Draft Combine, ranking third overall.
He joins Lachy Carmichael (Pick 21) to be drafted to the Club.
