Multiple units of the emergency services including Rescue 117 are currently attending the scene of a small aircraft crash on approach to Waterford Airport.
The R685 is partially closed and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
A statement from Gardai reads: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision involving a light aircraft at a location near Tramore, Co. Waterford which occurred at approximately 12:50pm this afternoon, Thursday 20th November 2025. As this is a live and ongoing operation, no further information is available at this time.”
