President Donald Trump called for six Democratic senators, including U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, to be put on trial, and suggested they should get the death penalty, after they released a video telling service members to refuse unlawful orders.
The senators, who previously served in the military or intelligence community, told troops in the video: “We know you are under enormous pressure right now.”
“Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders,” Kelly said in the video.
Their actions amounted to “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL.”
Later, he reposted a comment that said: “HANG THEM.”
“SEDITION BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” Trump wrote later.
