A third of the way through his blistering judgment ordering the immediate imprisonment of Enoch Burke, Mr Justice Brian Cregan raised an issue that has occupied the minds of judges but has received little attention thus far in the Wilson’s Hospital School saga.

The judge noted he had directed the teacher to prepare a statement of assets and income.
