Wicked: For Good is out in theaters, wrapping up the epic tale of Glinda and Elphaba’s friendship and the origin stories of the classic characters we love.

Verdi Partners With DiCaprio

Chad A. Verdi has teamed up with Danny Strong and Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the beloved classic.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Appian Way and collaborate on our fourth production together,” Verdi said.

“Both companies are united by a shared commitment of telling meaningful and captivating stories,” he said. “The Wizard of Oz is a beloved classic, but the behind-the-scenes history of its making is even more extraordinary, and has yet to be fully told until now.”

The Untold Challenges Behind a Hollywood Classic

Oz, a documentary about the making of The Wizard of Oz, is currently in production. The film will give audiences a better idea of how the film “tested the limits of its creators.”

There have been plenty of facts and myths surrounding The Wizard of Oz, including the original Tin Man having a bad reaction to the silver paint, asbestos used as snow in the poppy scene, wild birds making their way on set and how Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon syncs up with the movie.

The Wizard of Oz Still Captivates Audiences

Oz will even take a closer look at the film’s longevity. It’s still being talked about 86 years later.
