Celebrity MasterChef 2025: Uma Jammeh is second star to be sent home after forgetting a key ingredient

John Torode pointed out Uma’s mistake immediately

Uma Jammeh has become the second person to be sent home from Celebrity MasterChef 2025, narrowly missing out on a place in this year’s semi-finals.
The Love Island star became the latest celebrity to go home after Gaz Choudhry was eliminated earlier this week.
Uma went head-to-head in the quarter finals with former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn, pop star Antony Costa and drag artist Ginger Johnson. And, while she created some impressive dishes, it wasn’t enough to make it through to the next round.

A quarter final with a twist
The third episode saw the celebrity cooks put to the test as they worked in pairs rather than as individuals.
Katie and Ginger, the red team, faced a challenge to make Chicken Kyiv. Uma and Antony were the blue team and made sausages from scratch.
However, there was a MasterChef-style twist. Only one member of each team held the recipe in front of them, which tested both the celebrities’ communication skills and cooking abilities.
Each team did well. Judges John Torode and Grace Dent both looked impressed with what the celebrities cooked up in just one hour.
But the famous faces also faced another challenge. They also had to create a two-course meal individually for some former celebrity contestants.

Celebrity MasterChef: Uma’s lamb kebab was missing one thing
The four quarter finalists faced a daunting task as they cooked for Lisa Faulkner, the 2010 winner and wife of John Torode, along with 2022 finalist Danny Jones and 2017 champion Angelica Bell.
Katie managed to impress the panel with her courgette bruschetta and seafood linguine. Antony wowed with a prawn and coconut curry and a chocolate soufflé.
However, cook of the day was Ginger – aka Drag Race winner Donald Marshall. She cooked crab ravioli as a starter, followed by herb and mustard-crusted lamb.
Sadly, Uma’s tuna tartar starter got the thumbs down from the former contestants after she failed to add enough seasoning. But it was her deconstructed lamb kebab which sealed her exit from the competition.
Despite cooking her lamb perfectly and serving it with whipped feta and a red cabbage slaw, the panel and the judges agreed it was missing one vital thing – a flatbread.
Sadly, not adding one element to her dish meant Uma was the latest celebrity to be sent home from this year’s competition.
This means Katie, Antony and Ginger are now through to the semi-final rounds.
