Another Winnipeg Jets player has reportedly demanded a trade

This just in, according to a report from NHL insider Frank Seravalli, Winnipeg Jets forward Brad Lambert is seeking a trade. The team has allowed him and his agent to seek a trade elsewhere.

From Seravalli:

Lambert is the Jets’ 1st round pick (30th) overall from the 2022 NHL Draft and he has played just 10 NHL games across three seasons. This season he has one goal in four games.

He had 21 goals and 55 points in 64 AHL games just a couple seasons ago and he has shown flashes of brilliance at just about every level he’s played. He’s still just 21 years old and has some physical and emotional maturing to do, so I could see several teams taking an interest on him.

Now… this is obviously not the first time that a young player has asked out of Winnipeg.

The Jets have watched the likes of Jacob Trouba, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Patrik Laine leave Winnipeg over dissatisfaction with the team and… let’s face it… over the city. Personally, I love Winnipeg but it’s not exactly on par with more metropolitan locales like New York, Los Angeles or Montreal.

You may recall that fellow Jets’ 2022 1st rounder Rutger McGroaty also demanded a trade last season. Now, it looks like the Jets are about to lose both of their top picks from the 2022 Draft due to dissatisfaction.
