Spencer Lofranco, Canadian Actor Known For ‘Gotti’ And ‘Unbroken,’ Dies At 33

Canadian actor Spencer Lofranco, who appeared opposite John Travolta in the 2018 movie Gotti, died on November 18. He was 33. The cause of death has not been determined and is under investigation in British Columbia, Canada.

News of his passing was shared by his brother, Santino, who posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. “To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people’s lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP.”

Born October 18, 1992 in Toronto, Ontario, Spencer Lofranco made his film debut in the 2013 romantic comedy At Middleton. The same year that his first movie premiered, Lofranco faced legal trouble after his involvement in a hit-and-run that left a cyclist with a broken hip. He was sentenced to 50 days community service, two years of probation, and $161,000 in restitution.

Two films followed in 2014 – the lead role of James Burns in the 2014 crime drama Jamesy Boy, and Harry Brooks in Angelina Jolie’s biographical war drama Unbroken. Other film roles included Dixieland (2015), King Cobra (2016), and the aforementioned Gotti as John Gotti, Jr., which is now his final screen appearance.

After acting, Lofranco became active as a street artist. The actor’s Facebook page indicated that he relocated to Surrey, British Columbia, in 2021.
