Staying Ahead of Corruption in Cricket: The Role of Alert Notices

The corruption environment in cricket is ever changing, and participants are constantly exposed to the threat of being approached by individuals with corrupt attempts. To counter this, the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) identify these threats and communicate them through education sessions and alert notices.

Alert notices are a proactive tool designed to:

  • Disrupt corruptors before they act
  • Educate Participants about known threats
  • Raise awareness of suspicious individuals and tactics

Aiming to reach as many Participants in cricket as possible, alert notices are sent to all ICC Members via our Anti-Corruption Managers, Domestic Anti-Corruption Units, and ICC regional development team. Domestic boards are also encouraged to produce their own alert notice with trends and threats they are seeing.
