7 in 10 people too embarrassed to share Spotify Wrapped results
A OnePoll survey of 1,000 Spotify users found that seven in 10 of them are too embarrassed to share their Spotify Wrapped results.

It’s almost time for Spotify’s biggest release of the year: Spotify Wrapped 2025.
Spotify’s Wrapped lets users reflect on their favorite tunes and see their streaming data from the past 12 months. Listeners can also share their stats with friends, see who had a better top artist of the year, and poke fun at the embarrassing songs that ended up on their charts.

When does Spotify Wrapped 2025 come out?
The platform has yet to announce when it plans to release Spotify Wrapped 2025. However, based on previous years, USA TODAY reports Spotify has bumped up its release date in recent years, and could drop its 2025 Wrapped in November or early December.
- In 2024, Spotify Wrapped came out Dec. 4.
- In 2023, Spotify Wrapped came out Nov. 29.
- In 2022, Spotify Wrapped released Nov. 30.
- In 2021 and 2020, Spotify Wrapped released Dec. 1.
Does Spotify actually stop tracking in October?
Despite rumors that Spotify Wrapped only collects data from Jan. 1 to Oct. 31, the platform confirmed in 2024 that the roundup does, in fact, track listening data past Halloween.
After social media users joked that their time to manipulate their listening data would end Oct. 31, the audio streamer shared a Halloween graphic on X of a jack-o’-lantern filled with candy and a message reading: “Spotify Wrapped doesn’t stop counting on October 31st.”
Who was the most-streamed artist on Spotify in 2024?
It should be no surprise that Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2024 was none other than Taylor Swift. The “Fate of Ophelia” singer received more than 26.6 billion streams globally in 2024, making her Spotify’s Global Top Artist.
It was the second year in a row that Swift had taken the top spot. Could she make a three-peat this year? Only time will tell.

How long has Spotify been releasing its end-of-year statistics to users?
Spotify Wrapped came out in 2015 with its “Year in Music” feature, allowing users to see which artists they listened to most over the previous 365 days. Over the years, the platform has added more graphic design and data personalization to the feature, later renaming it “Spotify Wrapped.”
How do I find my Wrapped on Spotify?
If Spotify Wrapped 2025 is anything like last year’s, users will need to update their Spotify app to the latest version.
The “Spotify Wrapped” package should appear on the front page of the platform’s iOS and Android apps. Users can expect to see an invitation to view their Wrapped report when opening the app.
Can you edit or change your Spotify Wrapped?
No, you cannot directly edit your Wrapped once it’s created. However, there’s something else you can do before you share your stats on social media and get torn to pieces by friends.
Last year, you could make a copy of the playlist. That way, you can delete and add songs as you please before sharing your Spotify Wrapped. Want to try it now with last year’s playlist? Follow the steps below, per CNET:
- Using the desktop app, find the three dots (…) in the upper right-hand corner of your Spotify Wrapped playlist.
- Click “Add to another playlist.”
- A new submenu will pop up. In that, click “Create playlist.”
- You will now have a new playlist called “Spotify Wrapped 2024 (2).”
- Lastly, in your new playlist, click “Edit details.”
Users can also enable “Private Session” to prevent any songs or artists from affecting their statistics. Any songs or artists listened to during a private session will not appear in your Wrapped summary.
Does Apple Music have an end-of-year feature?
In 2022, Apple Music announced its version of Spotify’s end-of-year campaign called Apple Music Replay. Apple’s feature includes much of the same listening data as Spotify’s, including a user’s top songs, top albums, top artists and top genres from throughout the year.
Apple Music Replay functions a bit differently from Spotify Wrapped. It releases monthly Replay experiences, highlighting a user’s listening habits at the end of each month.
Apple Music users can access their Replay by locating the Listen Now tab in the app, scrolling to the Replay section, tapping the Replay ’25 playlist, and then selecting the plus button in the top right. After that, Apple Music users can check out their Replay ’25 throughout the year in the Playlists section of their library.
Similar to Spotify, Apple Music users will also receive a big Replay ’25 roundup designed to share on social media. In 2024, it was released on Dec. 3, a day before Spotify.
