One of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here campmates are said to be being ‘intensely’ monitored as they sparked claims they’ve taken part in the show ‘too soon’.
Some have been expressing their concern for Jack Osbourne as he takes part in the ITV reality show just months after the death of his father, Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July, aged 76
And the TV star was seen breaking down in tears in the jungle during the episode, which aired on Monday night (November 17), as he opened up about his dad’s death to Emmerdale star Lisa Riley.
“It was definitely a shock. I mean, we knew he was sick for a while but it was definitely a shock. I mean, we didn’t know it would be that quick. It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, alright I’m done.”
Jack then became visibly emotional as he spoke to Lisa, who related to Jack’s loss following the death of her own mother, Cath. The TV star suggested that Ozzy would’ve been supportive of his decision to appear on I’m a Celebrity.
The reality star later admitted that his dad’s death is “still pretty fresh”. He shared: “I’m still navigating it all… it’s been three nearly four months and so it’s still pretty fresh.”
Now, I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked guests Alison Hammond and Leigh Francis, known best for his alter-ego Keith Lemon, have been heard questioning if Jack’s appearance on the ITV show has come too soon after the death of his famous father.
Alison said on I’m A Celeb’s ITV2 spin-off show: “I think he should just chill for a bit. I actually feel it’s too soon for him to be in the jungle. I think maybe he should’ve waited a bit. I found it quite painful seeing his pain on camera.”

Leigh also added: “There’s so much sadness in his face. I think it’s too soon. He’s gonna get angry at things because his emotions are all over the place. I know he’s come in here to sort of keep his mind occupied and busy and get through the grief, but I think it’s still there.”
It comes as The Sun have reported that ITV bosses are ‘intensely’ monitoring Jack. “Bosses are monitoring his situation intensely,” the source said. “ITV has strong duty of care procedures in place and producers do their utmost to ensure campmates are OK 24/7 — but never more so than in situations like this.”
But ITV have made clear that it isn’t just Jack, and that they are monitoring all their campmates. A show spokesperson said “We have procedures in place to monitor the wellbeing of all our campmates 24/7.”
It comes after Jack, his siter Kelly and their mother, Sharon, were seen opening up about the loss of Ozzy in their first The Osbournes podcast in more than a year.
The trio recorded the episode sitting around a large wooden table covered in magazines featuring the Black Sabbath frontman, and Sharon admitted: “I hate going to bed at night.”
Kelly replied: “I mean, I slept with you for the first two months so that you weren’t on your own. But then I felt like you needed some space.I wake up and for the first three seconds I feel normal. And then I remember everything. Mornings are the hardest for me. What is the morning? Because it happened in the morning. And I used to spend most of my time with Dad in the morning.”
The 41-year-old star admitted she didn’t realise just how “horrible” it would feel to lose her beloved dad, who had been in poor health for years before his death from a heart attack.
