Squad notes

  • Socceroos winger Nishan Velupillay could make his first appearance of the 2025-26 season for Melbourne Victory in this weekend’s Big Blue; Victory head coach Arthur Diles says Velupillay is “touch and go” but has completed a full block of training this week ahead of the Big Blue

  • Wellington Phoenix defender Manjrekar James is back in selection contention after a quad strain that ruled him out of the past two matches
  • Sydney FC head coach Ufuk Talay has named Socceroos Al Hassan Toure and Paul Okon-Engstler after their respective roles in Australia’s two-game international series against Venezuela and Colombia in the United States
