In a revealing conversation on the Las Culturistas podcast, Brittany Snow opened up about her experiences as a teen actress navigating the nightlife of Los Angeles. Reflecting on her youthful days while starring in the NBC drama “American Dreams,” Snow shared insights into the exclusive teen club scene that thrived during that era.
At just 15 years old when she was filming the pilot, Snow described a world where access to the hottest spots depended heavily on one’s status in the entertainment industry. “There was a teen club,” she said, explaining that behind a secret door lay an A-list area frequented by young stars. “If you were on a show like Lizzie McGuire or any of those WB series, we were all back there in this room… together. Just drinking soda.”
Co-host Bowen Yang playfully probed Snow about the nature of those drinks, to which she confirmed, “Definitely soda. We were 15, 16 years old.” She recalled how the allure of the teen clubs involved the privilege of skipping the line, a bizarre yet recognizable experience for anyone in the same industry back then.
Snow also reminisced about her peers who were part of that world, including Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan, as well as Evan Rachel Wood and David Gallagher from “Seventh Heaven.” She did clarify that Jessica Biel was notably absent from those gatherings, stating, “It was just David.”

However, Snow confessed that her recollections from those nights are vague, overshadowed by the excitement of being in such an environment. “I just remember being so excited to go back in this room,” she said, adding humorously, “I don’t even know if I drank soda. I think I was just looking around like, ‘I, too, could one day be on the WB.’ You know? That was the pinnacle for me.”
The actress also took a moment to reflect on her childhood aspirations before landing her role on “American Dreams.” Growing up near Tampa, her dreams were initially grounded in local productions. “That was what I aspired to be — that’s all I wanted, was to be on the Mickey Mouse Club,” she recalled, explaining how she would prepare for auditions even at a young age.
