Bloodborne Is Getting A New Release, But It’s Not What You’re Thinking

I will always defend that Bloodborne’s soundtrack is one of the core pillars of its atmosphere, if not the most important one!

Sure, the incredible art direction, bosses’ designs, enigmatic NPCs, and mysterious storytelling all matter a lot, but let’s try a quick test, shall we? Start a new run, reach the Cleric Beast (it can be done in 10 minutes, I promise), and mute the audio – you will feel the difference instantly, because the fight suddenly loses like 90% of its weight.

And it seems that I’m not the only one who feels that way about Bloodborne’s insane music, since a new release regarding its soundtrack is on the way.

New Vinyl Editions Arrive For Bloodborne’s 10th Anniversary

In order to celebrate Bloodborne’s 10th anniversary (yes, we’re old, dear reader), Laced Records just announced that it is releasing three brand-new vinyl editions of the soundtrack with first-class details.

But first, let’s remember that, back in 2019, the company already launched a beautiful set with 21 tracks from the base game only.

The works of FromSoftware’s composers deserve to be in a museum.

Now they are bringing the same vinyl set back with a fresh Laced-exclusive variant that uses turquoise and white-and-black marbled discs inside a deluxe gold-foiled sleeve, which seems to have come straight from Yharnam’s gothic streets.

That’s not all. They are finally releasing a new LP that works as Volume 2, including nine tracks from the highly acclaimed DLC The Old Hunters at last! It features songs from iconic boss fights, such as “Ludwig, The Holy Blade” by Nobuyoshi Suzuki and “Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower” by Yuka Kitamura. And this one comes on a red-and-white marble disc and also arrives in a gold-foiled sleeve, keeping the presentation consistent.

Finally, the third vinyl release is probably every die-hard Bloodborne fan’s dream come true: a special Laced-exclusive 3LP collector’s box set that features both volumes. And it has an exclusive slipmat featuring Caryll Runes as a bonus.

You can check all three in the image gallery right below:

Oh, and if you already own the original Bloodborne vinyl (which was originally launched in 2019), the box and slipmat will be available separately, so your collection can be completed.

Pre-orders for all of them are live right now, so you may want to move quickly if any of these editions caught your eye. Here’s the link for the USA and Canada store, and the one for the rest of the world outside the USA.

As a die-hard Bloodborne fan, my wallet is already considering a strategic retreat. And maybe, just maybe, this renewed spotlight helps FromSoftware remember how many of us want a sequel? Well, a hunter can hope.
