Despite Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour ending nearly a year ago, the concert series still captures the attention of fans.
Many Swifties flocked to the singer’s website on Thursday, Nov. 20, for a chance to buy the Acoustic Piano Snow Globe and other popular merchandise.
The snow globe, which features a miniature version of the piano Swift played during the “Surprise songs” set of the tour and sparkly confetti reminiscent of the kind flying around at the end of the show, sold out quickly. The item is part of Swift’s larger holiday merch collection.
Taylor Swift’s holiday merch items have been selling out
Swift’s holiday merch collection went live on Nov. 13 and has proven to be popular with fans, with some items selling out the same day, like the “Folklore” cardigan plush cat and the “Folklore” Album Cabin Sweater.
Other merch drops have followed each day this week, including the The Life of a Showgirl TS Collection, the Acoustic Piano Collection, the Eras Tour Holiday Collection, and the snow globe. They have seen similar success.
The morning of Friday, Nov. 21, saw the release and subsequent selling out of some sizes in The Cardigan Collection, which includes cardigans inspired by different Swift albums that have been fan favorites in the past, including:
Some lucky fans might have been able to snag sold-out items that were sporadically restocked earlier this week alongside those new merch drops. However, even if you didn’t get a chance at those restocked items, others remain available from the latest drops, like the The Eras Tour friendship bracelet garland and The Eras Tour crewneck sweatshirt.
Swift has done holiday merch drops in the past
Holiday merch isn’t new to Swift. The singer has a long-running history of releasing specialty merch for the winter season, including drops on Nov. 13 for the last two years. In the past, she’s taken the holiday celebrations a step further, gifting personalized items to fans for Christmas in the 2010s.
The merch comes as both holiday celebrations and new media are on the horizon for the singer. Swift announced her six-part “The End of an Era” docuseries and concert film last month, with the docuseries focusing on the behind-the-scenes of The Eras Tour. The concert movie and first two episodes of the docuseries is streaming on Disney+ beginning Dec. 12.
