South Australians should prepare for a varied week ahead, as according to the Bureau of Meteorology, the upcoming weather forecasts indicate a mix of sunny days, possible showers, and cooler temperatures for Adelaide and broader regions. Residents can expect a largely dry end to the week with partly cloudy skies and a high of 25 degrees today. However, weather conditions will take a turn over the weekend.
Starting Saturday, minimum temperatures will dip slightly to 15 degrees with daytime highs remaining around 25 degrees. Showers are very likely through the day with the potential for a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening, with a 90 per cent probability of rain. As Sunday approaches, the skies will clear up, leading to a bright, sunny day with temperatures climbing to a warmer 31 degrees.
Moving into the next week, the variability continues. Monday and Tuesday will see maximums of 32 degrees and 26 degrees, with partly cloudy conditions and a chance of showers on Tuesday. Midweek, Adelaide should prepare for cooler weather, with Wednesday expected to reach a high of only 22 degrees with a couple of showers, and by Thursday, temperatures will plunge further to 20 degrees amidst similar wet conditions.
Significant weather warnings have been issued across the state. There is a warning to sheep graziers in the Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North, Upper South East, and Lower South East forecast districts due to expected cold temperatures and southeasterly winds, which may threaten livestock.
Marine wind warnings are in effect with strong wind warnings for the Far West Coast, Upper West Coast, and Lower West Coast extending into Saturday. Those engaging in marine activities should exercise caution and monitor updates closely.
A severe heatwave warning persists for the North East Pastoral District, with conditions predicted to peak over 40 degrees.
