Sports Pulse

Jake Paul is gearing up for his most challenging bout yet, a showdown against former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. This professionally sanctioned main event, set to be streamed on Netflix on Dec. 19, will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Paul’s next opponent originally was supposed to be Gervonta “Tank” Davis before that exhibition fight was called off due to a lawsuit against Davis by his ex-girlfriend, who accused him of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Paul usually fights as a cruiserweight, with a maximum weight of 200 pounds at weigh-ins. Compared to Davis, who typically fights in the lightweight and super lightweight divisions at 135 and 140 pounds, Joshua is a towering figure at 6 feet, 6 inches and a consistent heavyweight at over 250 pounds in his recent fights.

Joshua will be facing a weight limit of 245 pounds for his bout against Paul. This weight restriction is designed to ensure a more balanced and competitive fight.

Here is the size difference between Paul and Joshua ahead of their fight on Dec. 19.

Anthony Joshua weight, size

Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) has significant experience and has faced higher-quality opponents. Additionally, Joshua possesses a size advantage; he stands at 6 feet, 6 inches and has weighed 250 pounds or more in his last five bouts.

Jake Paul weight, size

Paul (21-1, 7 KOs) stands at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and usually competes as a cruiserweight, which has a maximum weight limit of 200 pounds for the weigh-in. The only time he fought as a heavyweight was against Mike Tyson, where Paul weighed in at 227 pounds and secured a victory by unanimous decision.
