Lofranco got his start in Hollywood after completing a year-long conservatory program. Soon after he landed a leading role in the biographical crime drama Jamsey Boy, which was released in 2014.
He played troubled teen James Burns alongside James Woods and Mary-Louise Parker in the gritty crime flick. He also appeared as Harry Brooks in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken.
He also got credits in Dixieland and King Cobra before his final screen role playing John Gotti Jr alongside John Travolta in Gotti.
Hit-and-Run
However, Lofranco’s off-screen life was not all cream and peaches. In 2013, he was convicted of a misdemeanour hit-and-run after striking cyclist Camille Banham with his SUV.
He was handed 50 days of community service. Banham was severely injured with a broken hip and multiple fractures. He also had to relearn how to walk.
Lofranco was alleged to have exited his vehicle and apologised to Banham before leaving the scene.

The cyclist told CBS in 2015: “I used to call what happened to me an accident, and it would’ve been an accident if Spencer had stayed and helped me after he got out of his car and saw me injured on the side of the road, but instead he chose to leave me,’ Banham said in 2015, per the outlet.
‘Left in fear’
Lofranco’s defence attorney Michael Levi argued his client fled the scene in fear. The lawyer said: “It was an accident. The crime here was not leaving his identification at the scene.
“That’s not what injured her, and for that reason you have to look at not so much the injuries as you have to look at what happened after and what happened after does not make him a monster.”
Lofranco reportedly opted for a more isolated life in 2019 when he decided to live on a beach selling his art and going by the name Fire.
