Stephen Bunting dominates Raymond van Barneveld in emphatic Exeter exhibition win also featuring Adrian Lewis and Ryan Searle

With a few days off before the Players Championship Finals, exhibitions will continue both before and after Minehead and for Stephen Bunting and Raymond van Barneveld, they stopped off in Exeter on Wednesday night on their way to the season closer before the PDC World Darts Championship.Bunting took an emphatic 6-0 win over Raymond van Barneveld in the showcloser in Exeter hosted by MODUS and MDA in a place which now does not host darts outside of exhibitions. The Premier League night will not take place next year at the Westpoint with Belgium getting its first taste of Premier League action instead. Now the only darts locally is Minehead with the Players Championship Finals this weekend.Others involved on Wednesday included a duo who are no longer on the tour and given the reports by DartsNews earlier this week, Adrian Lewis in particular is unlikely to be back on tour at least next year. He faced Keegan Brown in the opener in Exeter sealing a 4-3 win. While Ryan Searle perhaps was the big attraction given he hails from just down the road so is a bit of a local hero in this part of the world. He lost 4-3 though to Raymond van Barneveld in the first of two games for both.

Searle got his own back though as he saw off Adrian Lewis. He took a 6-2 win over ‘Jackpot’. A previous finalist at the Players Championship Finals in Minehead, Searle will hope to use that to his advantage for another good run this weekend.

Most of the exhibitions will take place at the end of the current season with most players not taking much time off and gearing up for Ally Pally which begins on December 11 with exhibitions after a trip to Minehead this weekend so it is certainly full steam ahead to the end of the year.
