Adolis Garcia, Jonah Heim among four players non-tendered by Rangers

Outfielder Adolis García, as well as three other players, have been non-tendered by the Rangers, the team announced on Friday.
García, who had been with the Rangers since 2020 and was a major factor in their World Series title in 2023, will now immediately become a free agent without needing to pass through waivers.
Last season, the 32-year-old batted .227 with 19 home runs and a .655 OPS.
The two-time All-Star and 2023 American League Gold Glove winner had a 1.108 OPS during the Rangers’ World Series run.
The Rangers have also non-tendered catcher Jonah Heim, along with right-handed pitchers Josh Sborz and Jacob Webb.
Heim, who was an All-Star and Gold Glove winner alongside Garcia in 2023, has spent the past five seasons with the Rangers.
Sborz had been with the team since 2021 and has a 4.86 ERA through four seasons, while Webb signed a one-year contract with the Rangers last offseason.
Webb held a record of 5-4 and had a 3.00 ERA.
In addition, the Rangers have signed outfielder Sam Haggerty to a one-year contract, avoiding arbitration.
