Cavs score, injury report vs Indiana Pacers as Darius Garland returns

CLEVELAND — The Cavaliers face the Pacers for the first time since Indiana ended their playoff run in the second round last season.

Though, the Pacers will be without Tyrese Haliburton, the architect of the wild run to the NBA Finals that eventually ended at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder and with Haliburton tearing his Achilles tendon.

The Cavs, who have dealt with a rash of injuries this season, could be a bit healthier for this matchup.

Cavs injury report vs Pacers

All-Star guard Darius Garland (toe) and guard Jaylon Tyson (concussion) are expected to play Friday night.

Center Jarrett Allen’s status was downgraded to out roughly an hour before tip-off as he deals with a finger injury.

Guard Sam Merrill (hand) remains out, as the swelling still needs to come down.

The Cavs and former Buchtel player Chris Livingston agreed to terms on a two-way deal. The team confirmed the deal on Nov. 4. The Akron native has been playing for the Cleveland Charge thus far.
