‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Alum Kandi Burruss and Husband Todd Tucker Split After 11 Years of Marriage
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker have called it quits after 11 years of marriage.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” Burruss, 49, said in a statement to Us Weekly on Friday, November 21. “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
The news of the pair’s split, which was first reported by People, comes less than one week after Burruss appeared at BravoCon 2025 without her husband.
While accepting the Wifetime Achievement Award, the Atlanta resident thanked Tucker, 52, for his support.
“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truths, the fights, the almost fights … reunions,” she joked. “You earned this award too.”
Burruss made her RHOA debut in 2009 during season 2 and ultimately found a second chance at love on the show. (Burruss was a single mother to daughter Riley, now 23, whom she shares with ex Russell Spencer.)
Before their romance began, Tucker worked on the series as a production manager. In 2011, the former couple began dating and tied the knot three years later. Burruss became stepmother to Tucker’s daughter, Kaela, from a previous relationship.

In January 2016, Burruss and Tucker expanded their family with son Ace, now 9. Three years later, the twosome completed their brood with daughter Blaze whom they welcomed via surrogate.
“She’s here! Blaze Tucker born at 6:54 p.m. on 11-22-19 weighing 8 lbs, 1 oz,” Burruss shared in November 2019. “I’m so thankful to add another healthy, beautiful, baby girl to the family!”
While Burruss and Tucker were busy creating their happy little family, Tucker found himself at odds with his mother-in-law, Mama Joyce Jones, over the years. Tension between Jones and Tucker began when he began dating Burruss. Jones did not approve of Tucker and accused him of being a “gold-digging opportunist” on the Bravo series.
Tucker and Jones’ feud continued over the years, but the twosome remained cordial for Burruss’ sake. However, Jones shaded Tucker at BravoCon 2022 when she couldn’t say three nice things about him. While feelings were hurt, the duo worked out their differences the following year, according to Burruss.
2025 kicked off with a slew of celebrity breakups. “That BravoCon last year set it off in my household. They weren’t talking. If she came around, Todd would leave,” the singer recalled during BravoCon 2023. “It was a whole mess. I guess over the summer, he decided to let it go. They started communicating. She comes over and hangs out with the kids.”

Tucker’s last Instagram post with Burruss was in October after they enjoyed a family day apple picking.
“I hope these little apples 🍎 🍏 don’t fall far the tree!” he wrote via Instagram on October 8. “Had so much fun with @acetucker and @blazetucker at the Apple Patch!”
Burruss posted similar photos the same day writing, “Field tripping with @acetucker & @blazetucker! ❤️❤️.”
