The Jon Snow series has been canceled, but George R.R. Martin reveals that there are more ‘Game of Thrones’ se

The future of the Seven Kingdoms is assured. HBO has just announced the renewal of two ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-offs: ‘House of the Dragon’ will have a fourth season, and ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ will continue its story in its second season. The sequel starring Jon Snow has been left behind, although George R.R. Martin has revealed that he is working on new sequels.

The information, published by the Spanish website Los Siete Reinos, includes statements made by Martin himself at the Iceland Noir festival, which the website had the opportunity to attend.

Multiple Game of Thrones projects in development

“Apart from ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ and ‘House of the Dragon,’ there are other ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off projects in development,” revealed the author of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire.’ “Most are prequels. There are several in development, five or six series; and I’m not developing them alone, but working with other people. Yes, there is a sequel.”

Of course, George R.R. Martin has not gone into detail, so it is not known whether they will be series or films. Nor is it known whether they will opt for live action or animation. In addition to House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, HBO is working on a series about Aegon the Conqueror and the animated production 10,000 Ships.
