Are Kristin Chenoweth & Idina Menzel Returning In ‘Wicked: For Good’? Here’s Why You Won’t See Them In Part 2

Don’t expect to see Broadway stars Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel in the new Wicked: For Good!
The two originated the roles of Glinda and Elphaba in the stage musical and made cameo appearances in the first movie.

During a recent interview with THR, Kristin was asked if she was returning in For Good.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about that. I don’t think it hurts to say no, I’m not,” she confirmed. “I think we kind of did our thing and passed the broom and wand, so to speak. But I can’t wait to see it. I kind of know a lot about it from my girl [Ariana Grande], so I just can’t wait.”
Earlier this year, Kristin echoed this sentiment, telling Extra in June, “Idina and I feel really good about it. It’s their time. We had our moment and we were very honored they included us, but it’s their turn.”
If you didn’t know, Idina initially turned down the cameo role!
Just earlier this month, Kristin and Idina joined Ariana and Cynthia Erivo for a very special rendition of “For Good” on the Wicked: One Wonderful Night special.
