West Brom prospect to taste first experience of league football – at National League’s bottom club

Highly-regarded midfielder Deeming has moved to the club bottom of the pile in the National League, the premier tier of non-league who operate just below the Football League.
It is a first loan away from The Hawthorns for the 18-year-old who caught the eye of head coach Ryan Mason and the management staff during the summer.
Deeming made his Albion debut at the beginning of last season in the EFL Cup but is yet to make a league experience with his boyhood club. He has been trusted by the management to be part of seven matchday squads in the Championship this term, albeit remaining an unused substitute.
Mason’s senior midfielders Jayson Molumby and Toby Collyer have recently returned from injury.
The Halesowen-born Baggies fan will join his new colleagues at the Tinners in preparation for a key clash at the foot of the fifth tier table at home to fifth-bottom Sutton United on Saturday.
Truro – the only professional Cornish outfit – also have trips to Hartlepool in the league and Southend in FA Trophy action during Deeming’s one-month stay.
Last season’s National League South champions, managed by John Askey, are one point off their nearest rival and four adrift of safety.
Deeming has regularly captained Albion at under-21s level, though his game time with Leigh Downing’s youth outfit has been limited this term due to involvement with the first team both on matchday and during training.
The left-footed midfielder was a childhood season ticket holder at The Hawthorns and has aspirations of becoming a regular in his boyhood club.
He joins fellow Baggies midfield prospect Harry Whitwell on loan in the National League – though Whitwell, who turned 20 last weekend – is catching the eye at the other end of the division with leaders Forest Green Rovers.
Also away from Albion on loan is forward Akeel Higgins, at League One Exeter, defender Michael Parker at National League North Hereford and striker Eseosa Sule, whose spell with Motherwell in Scotland is set to resume following injury.
