The forward signed for the Welsh club from Sheffield United in the summer, where he has been in superb form so far this season, bagging nine goals in 17 games in all competitions.

Moore had two separate spells at Portman Road, having initially joined Mick McCarthy’s Blues for just £10,000 back in January 2017. Then he made just 11 sub appearances, before moving to Barnsley in a £750k deal a year later.

He returned to Suffolk on loan from AFC Bournemouth in the second half of the 2023/24 season, where he helped Kieran McKenna’s side win promotion to the Premier League after scoring seven goals in 18 games.

NATHAN BROADHEAD

The Welsh winger left the Blues to sign for Reds in a club record £10m signing over the summer, having enjoyed a successful spell at Portman Road.

Broadhead was a key man in the back-to-back promotions following a £1.5 million move from Everton in January 2022, netting 23 goals in 84 games across all competitions.

So far, he has scored three goals in 14 games in all competitions for his new side, although he’s only made three starts in the league.

The defender came through the youth ranks at Town, breaking into the first-team during the 1986/87 season under Bobby Ferguson.

Humes featured 140 times for the club, scoring 12 goals, before he was sold to Wrexham for £40,000 in March 1992.

He made over 200 appearances for the Dragons, where he was also club captain, leading them to promotion to the third tier in 1993, and was part of the side that came close to reaching the FA Cup semi-final four years later.

The Trinidadian player enjoyed a successful spell in North Wales, helping them win promotion to the third tier in 2002/03 and lifting the Football League trophy in 2005.

Edwards left Wrexham to join Luton Town on a free transfer and his form there earned him a move to Sunderland for £1.5 million in January 2007.

JON WALTERS

The forward spent one season at Wrexham, where he netted five goals in 41 games, before moving on to join Chester City in the summer of 2006.

It was there where he impressed against Ipswich in an FA Cup tie, that performance prompting Jim Magilton to quickly sign him for £100k in January 2007. Walters went on to become a key player for the Blues and was named club captain.

However, he was sold to then Premier League side Stoke for £2.75 million in 2010 following an infamous bust-up with Roy Keane. The frontman become a regular top-flight and international starter, before joining Burnley in 2017.

Walters was then signed by Paul Hurst on loan for the first half of the 2018/19 season, but his spell was cruelly cut short when he ruptured his Achilles – and he retired from football shortly after that.
