Kick off is at noon on FOX 28. No. 1 OSU is coming off a 48-10 win over UCLA. Rutgers is 5-5 overall.
The Scarlet Knights last played in Columbus in 2022. Rutgers is fourth nationally with three blocked punts.
It’s Senior Day for the Buckeyes, and 16 seniors will be honored before the game. Among them are two brothers: Lorenzo Styles Jr. and Sonny Styles.
“Everything is coming together how it’s supposed to,” Lorenzo said.
Over the last four years at Ohio State, Sonny grew into a captain wearing the Block O and as the Buckeyes’ second leading tackler at linebacker.
Lorenzo transferred to Ohio State from Notre Dame and played his way into the starting lineup at nickel this season.
Next week, the Buckeyes will be in Ann Arbor, where Ohio State will continue its historic pursuit of back-to-back national championships.
“We’re chasing history here at Ohio State,” Coach Ryan Day said. “And they know that.”
For Saturday, OSU will be without Wide receiver Carnell Tate and fellow wideout Jeremiah Smith. Eight other Buckeyes will not be available.
