TEAM NEWS | BATH RUGBY V SALE SHARKS PREM CUP R5

Reuben Logan will make his first Sharks start while trialist Regan Grace gets a chance to impress as Warren Spragg makes 11 changes to his side for the Prem Rugby Cup trip to The Rec to face cup holders Bath. 

Forwards James Harper, Tom Burrow, Ethan Caine and winger Alex Wills remain from the team that beat Exeter in the last pool stage game, with the Sharks coaches bringing back a host of young talent.  

In total the matchday squad boasts 20 players from the club’s senior academy. 

In the front row tighthead Harper is joined by hooker Caine and loosehead Tumy Onasanya. 

Tom Burrow takes over as captain once again, and he’s joined in the second row by Patrick Hogg, who made his Sharks debut against Gloucester in this season’s Prem Rugby Cup. 

It’s all change in the back-row with number 8 Logan joined by flankers Jos Gilmore and Tristan Woodman. 

Dom Hanson starts at scrum-half and he’ll be joined in the half-backs by Ollie Davies. Joe Bedlow and Osian Roberts will combine outside them in the centres. 

Reagan Grace, who spent time at Bath after converting from rugby league, starts on the left wing with Obi Ene on the right and Alex Wills at full-back. 

The Sharks bench is once again packed with young talent with Academy props Ralph McEachran and Patreece Bell joined by hooker Tadgh McElroy. 

Huw Davies and Seb Kelly are the other forwards on the bench, with Nye Thomas, Toby Wilson and Albert Bradshaw named as the backs replacements.
